When Manny Pacquaio and Ricky Hatton meet next month, everyone will really see who is the best fighter. We all know that Ricky is a brawler and he definitely will attempt to exert all of himself on Manny once they enter the ring. However, I do not think that Ricky really knows Manny as well as he thinks that he does. Manny is tough, determined, strong, smart, and a crafty fighter. Ricky will soon find this out.
If Ricky has really look over some of Pacquaio's fights, he should be watching them again. Ricky will be fighting a beast of a champion. Manny has demolished most of his opponents in his forty plus fights. This young Phillippine fighter is no joke. Now, I am not taking anything away from Ricky as he also has his strong points, and is also pound for pound one of the better fighters in his weight division. One thing that I like about him is that he is aggressive, probably more so than Pacquaio and Ricky tries to establish his dominance in the ring early. And then from that point on, he is all over you like vultures over dead remains or bees on honey.
Another point about these two tough fighters is that neither one backs down. In viewing all of their fights, I continually see both of them zeroing in on their opponents as soon as the bell rings. Their aggression reminds me of two pit bulls coming towards each other and guess what, something must give. On that day in May, we will see who will be raising their gloves in victory and who will be either on the canvass or through their facial expressions, portraying the agony of defeat. Even the bookies will have a tough time deciding on this one. What do you think? Of course, this will be a tough fight for both fighters and they may both leave the ring bruised up. What the fans will be looking for is a good, tough fight that both of these fighters are accustomed to giving to their fans. No one wants this fight to end in the early rounds such as the old Mike Tyson fights. Many of Mike's fights were no contests. The audience will be looking for a well fought fight in each of the rounds and personally, I would like to see the fight go twelve rounds.
Ricky of course will represent the United Kingdom and Manny will represent the Phillippines. Who will take back the victory to their country, Manny or Ricky? You can bet the citizens from each country will be in Vegas. This will be an interesting night, the East versus West. What is your opinion? Please answer as I am looking for comments from someone. A boxing guru would be preferred, someone with the innate knowledge and as they say been there and done that.
This is not going to be as they say a "cakewalk" for neither fighter and they both know it. And this is why they are both preparing rigorously for this fight. The mental toughness of both fighters along with their physical abilities will be the deciding factors. Who is your choice? The "Brits" versus the "Pinoys". For me, this is too close to call, but I do know one thing. Whoever wins, will definitely be the king of that weight division. Floyd Mayweather, are you ready to return and get that "butt whipping' that you have miss, only because you have not fought the right boxer. Pacquiao and Hatton are waiting for you, just step on up. Are you ready? All comments and replies are highly encouraged. I will definitely see it next month on Pay for View. How about you?
